Just an update on last weeks events ,

AUGUST
16th - Lutterworth Junior Open (First time Visited)
Gross 79
Nett 71
Par 70 CSS 70
Michael started with a 3 over par on the first and was disappointed with his overall score as he played very well but couldn’t hole a putt !!!

17th - Daventry Junior Open (First time Visited)
Junior Open cancelled due to lack of entries , Michael spends the morning practising putting in the lounge, weather poor and NCGC course closed , PM Michael goes to NCGC to practice short game

19th - 36 hole Autumn Meeting at Northants County
AM Round - Gross 79 Nett 70 CSS 72 Michael equal fourth after 18 holes
PM Round - Gross 78 Nett 69 CSS 72

Nett score of 139 is the best on the day and Michael wins the Autumn Nett trophy beats his dad to getting his name on the board , passes his Dads handicap and is now likely to be 7.5 reducing his handicap by 4.2 shots so far this year.

He missed holing out with a wedge on the 8th from a 100yards with his ball stopping right on the lip and then went one better on 13 with a seven iron from 150 yards pitching just past the pin and screwing back into the hole for an eagle two

I have been impressed with his mental attitude this week he has been very focussed on this 36 hole competition one of the big three in the men's calendar , he was third nett in the last 36 hole competition and clearly felt he could win this one. This has set him up for another good week ………...

He is now off to Northampton for today's Junior Open
