Stoke Albany and Kilworth Springs junior member Graham Nicholls continues to improve

14 Nov 02

At the start of the current season Graham's handicap was 15, which he has now reduced to 11.9. This steady reduction is no accident, Graham receives first class coaching at Maxstoke and continues to practice whenever possible.

He recently won the Monthly Medal at Stoke Albany with a gross 81 and followed this up with a win in the 10-18 handicap category at the Junior Open held recently at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club with an excellent gross 78, which should result in a further cut.

Graham has been playing with clubs made by Designer Golf for the past three years and reports that his new Designer Golf own brand driver, fitted with a Titanium shaft is both long and very consistent.

Nearly a new Course Record at Kibworth GC !!

14 Nov 02

Another recent convert to Titanium shafts is Kibworth member Trevor Austin. Trevor who now plays off 3, took delivery last Saturday of a new set of irons fitted with our exclusive shafts and without practice, carded a 65 in a competition on the next day. This would have equalled the amateur course record at Kibworth had play been from the white tees. However considering the recent atrocious weather, with no run on the ball, it could be considered a much higher achievement.

Monthly Medal winner at Luffenham Heath

Another Titanium shaft convert Ian Harris, won the last Monthly Medal held at Luffenham Heath with a gross 75 playing off 6 (nett 69).
